Dealing with Being Dumped

There is so much that love gives us. It even gives us pain when it’s lost. Dealing with being dumped is never easy. When dumped, there’s so much being trampled. There are ways to face it though so do not succumb to the feelings when you are dumped.
Take the decision of the dumper. Most likely than not, he/she has thought it over and there’s little (or nothing at all) you can do to change it. But your ex owes an explanation on the reason behind the break up so ask for it. You will easily find closure when you know the reason behind it. It will also save you from numerous sleepless nights trying to figure out what went wrong.
When the explanation was given, listen and absorb it (even if you think you can’t, try harder) but do not argue. Save yourself and your partner a heated argument by just walking away. Besides, you have all the right to flee the place.
Asking for another chance (at the very moment you are being dumped) will cause more trouble than good. It’ll make you look so desperate; the dumper will feel more superior over you making her/him more confident in breaking up.
Take a moment to breathe and digest everything in. You do not want to do things you will soon regret and this usually happens when you’re not thinking straight. Throw away everything that connects you with the dumper-this means gifts, letters and anything that reminds you of him/her. You would not want to be constantly reminded of the pain associated with those things.
Look at the bright side. There will be no one to hold you back on things that you’ve been longing to do (but could not because he/she is stopping you). Take it as a blessing in disguise. Without inconvenience, life is more fun and easy.
Do not shy away from your family and friends just because you think little of yourself now that you are being dumped. Friends and family are the best people to turn to on situations like this. Locking yourself away from them will make you feel sourer.
